Version 0.9a is now out!

Greetings to all!

I bring you the first little update 0.9a (date: 10-05-2020).  One of the "The Thing" fans suggested to add a little extra option in the SETTINGS menu to allow switching the curvature of the screen on/off. In the first official release (0.9) the curvature was obligatory.  In version 0.9a the choice is yours!

Thank you and have fun!

PS.

For those of you who installed this application via itch.app you need to reinstall it (uninstall and install). It's due to some problems with butler upload.

Since you’re so open to suggestions I thought I’d abuse your generosity and ask if there would be a way to prevent the lower tier informative descriptions from showing when they would be overlapping with others (like “Cell Dog” hiding the assimilation text).

Actually, again - it was one of the things I was considering from the very beginning, but since it wasn't a priority one fuction to keep going I dropped this idea. But if you think it could be useful, yeah - I'll think about it.

Well, I think it would improve the simulation - although it’s already quite lovely.

Part of the reason I’m even asking is that I had that overlapping happen with the default count of cells. If you dial the counts up to max it’s pretty much a constant thing, which is a bit unfortunate.

Alternatively to my initial suggestion: Could an imminent assimilation just disable non-assimilation descriptions from popping up for X seconds? I think that might be considerably less work with nearly the same results.

I got exeactly same ideas. Yes, turning off other idents, while assimilation is in progress, would be an easier solution.
